The business problem. International transfers have historically been all about rates, costs and fees. Remitly don't want to win customers based on the cheapest rate.
 

Our challenge. Get people to sign-up even if Remitly aren't offering the best transfer rates.


Our answer. Finance is a dry subject. But if you go past the 'rational', you end up somewhere much juicer.


The results. A 12% increase in unprompted awareness... Holy moly!

What are the category dynamics?

For what seemed like a gazillion years, Western Union and MoneyGram had it all their own way. Massive reach, loads of brand trust and a network of bricks & mortar.

Remitly launched in 2011, they're a true digital native and now listed on the NASDAQ. Yay!

Their challenge to us; get us into the top 2. When we first started working with them in 2021, they were in 5th place. Now they're 3rd and nipping at the heels of MoneyGram.
